Bronx Draft House is a lively bar nestled along Gerard Avenue, carving out a spot for sports fans and casual drinkers alike in the South Bronx. Its proximity to Yankee Stadium makes it a natural pregame hangout, often buzzing with energy especially before and during game days. Expect a crowd more manageable on rainy days, but peak times call for early arrival if you want a seat.

The atmosphere is a mix of sports bar enthusiasm with a few modern twists—the music is pumped up, sometimes quite loud given the space, and there's a house DJ adding to the vibe, creating an energetic backdrop that complements the game-day spirit. Staff are attentive and tend to keep things moving smoothly even when the bar fills up fast.

Bronx Draft House stands out for its solid beer lineup with local touches, like choices from the Bronx Brewery, alongside classics such as Stella Artois and a rotating IPA flight. It's a good spot for beer lovers who enjoy exploring different brews in a proper bar setting.

Food-wise, the menu leans on elevated bar staples with creative spins that reflect local and Latin influences—a standout is the Drafthouse Burger, which layers pulled pork, sweet plantains, and a smashed beef patty; it’s more than your standard game-day burger. The High Bridge Nachos and garlic parmesan wings with chipotle sauce are crowd-pleasers, offering generous portions and bold flavors. If you're not in a burger mood, the shrimp Po'Boy sandwich and options like the toasted grain salad bowl provide alternatives that still speak to the bar’s eclectic but approachable culinary style.

  • Best for: Sports fans looking for a place to kick back before or after a game, beer enthusiasts, and groups who appreciate a vibrant, interactive bar scene (board games like UNO and Connect 4 make appearances occasionally).
  • Who will enjoy it most: Locals and visitors who want a solid combination of craft beer, hearty bar food, and a spirited atmosphere without venturing far from Yankee Stadium.
  • When to visit: Arrive early on game days to secure a spot and avoid the rush. Off-peak hours or rainy days offer a calmer experience for those who want to relax and still enjoy good food and drinks.
  • Atmosphere: Energetic but familiar, with the casual warmth of a neighborhood spot that knows its regulars but welcomes newcomers. The noise level can ramp up, so it’s ideal if you’re in the mood for a lively, bustling vibe.

Get here early if you want a seat. The food and drinks are good and served promptly. Service is on point but keep in mind that they’re very busy right before and during game time. The house DJ is very good although the music is entirely too loud for the space. Be advised that a gratuity is automatically added to your bill regardless of your party size.

Opted for pregame meal before 1:30 Yankees game- glad we did, burger was top notch - service was great- rainy day with possible rain delay may have kept the crowds low- since want crowdws at all even less than an hour before the game A very pleasant surprise and great beer list !

We really enjoyed the atmosphere here and the games the staff brought to us, UNO and Connect 4. Food was very well done, tasty and a good size. The beer selection is lengthy and I chose a Bronx Brewery Hazy IPA. Cheers to the staff for a great experience and will return when in the Bronx again.

Our waitress was great. The frozen margaritas good. The yuca fries were good. My grain bowl was soaked in too much vinegar for me, but still tasty. This was def'ly a better experience than the first time I had food from here, which was horrible. So kudos to stepping it up. Wish there was a physical menu.

Sports bar , good music , lunch special awesome chicken sandwich with b.l.t. and avocado with cheese. Side of small fries and salad only 15 bucks. If you like beer come here. Wings are bomb (little pricey) you forget about that by the time you done eating, garlic parm wings with chipotle sauce or blue cheese on the side . Nachos are great cruncy , creamy and cheesey you don't even need meat when you have wings. Get the nachos as is. Definitely coming here early before a Yankees game before it gets packed. Eat and drink here as much as you can before the game, or come after dark the street is live.

I came in looking for good beer and good food after a soccer game at Yankee Stadium, and I was very pleased with what I got. They have a great selection of beer, both draft and can, and the chicken fingers and fries were stellar!

Looking for something quick to eat, and I stumbled upon the Draft House, Bronx and this is the best place, I've eaten in NY (I don't live here) left very little crumbs. I had the Island fish and chips and it was . My waitress was awesome, and she was very sweet. They placed my preferences of music (rap/r&b) with an awesome atmosphere. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in NY!
